We offer driving goods vehicle apprenticeship at level 2 which is becoming increasingly popular with employers as a way of recruiting to alleviate the shortage of drivers nationally and specifically in the region.  We have recently recruited 4 drivers onto the programme ages ranging from 18-23 who are working their way through their LGV driver training whilst working with their employers and completing their apprenticeship framework.

Depending on eligibility, the majority of people enrolled on apprenticeship programmes can be funded through the Skills Funding Agency.

If you’re unsure which course is best for you, please contact us – if we can’t give you the advice you need, we have access to many partners who should be able to point you in the right direction.

If you have any further queries regarding funding and apprenticeships please contact Annabelle Potter on 0191 286 2919 or

We now work alongside our colleagues at Gateshead College to recruite apprentices. For further information, advice and guidance on our motor vehicle apprenticeships, please contact  Kerry Burlinson on 0191 490 4694 or
