Download Our May 2011 Ofsted Report
Tyneside Training Services Ltd recently underwent an Ofsted inspection from the 12th – 15th April 2011, the link to the full report is at the top of the page.
Overall we were graded as Satisfactory but here are a few quotes from the report to give you a flavour of it’s contents.
“Learners gain good levels of employability and they gain good, sometimes excellent, workplace skills”
“Train to Gain Learners enjoy some good coaching and motivating training sessions”
“Partnerships are good with TTS having long and sustained partnerships with a range of employers in the area as well as some good new partnerships with other training providers and support agencies”
“Learners enjoy their training and gain good, sometimes excellent, relevant workplace skills”
“Teaching and learning for Train to Gain Construction learners are good, with tutors using their extensive knowledge of the industry very effectively to inspire learners”
These are just a few headlines to give you a flavour of the report, I would encourage as many people to read the report in full and I would welcome any feedback on the report and the inspectors findings.
There are action points from the insepctors giving advice on what TTS needs to do to improve, and we will be incorporating those points into our Quality Improvement Plan for 2011/12 to ensure we are able to offer our learners and employers the best possible training and guidance.
Later in the year we will be asking learners and employers to give us feedback on how well we are doing, and I would hope as many as possible will be able to give us their opinions as this is vital in TTS preparing our self assessment report which drives our commitment to further improvement.
If anyone would like to contact me about the report of if you have any questions about TTS please contact me.
